Cargo Protection for Every Route and Every Mode
Whether your goods travel by container ship, air freight, or road haulage, our cargo cover protects against handling damage, theft, fire, accident, and general average. Coverage can be structured per shipment or as an open-cover programme for traders moving continuous volume — keeping cover seamless as goods cross modes and borders.
Specialist Capacity
Hull Cover and Marine Liability for Operators
We place hull cover for vessel owners and specialist marine liability covers — including charterers’ liability, freight forwarders’ liability, and stevedores’ liability — depending on your role in the supply chain. Our underwriter relationships span global, regional, and specialist markets, giving us the capacity to handle complex risks competitively.
When Things Go Wrong
Marine Claims Handled by Specialists Who Know Your Trade
When a shipment is delayed, damaged, or lost, time matters. Our marine claims team works directly with surveyors, loss adjusters, and underwriters to settle claims quickly and minimise disruption to your operations and customer relationships. We understand the documentation, the timelines, and the technicalities — so you don’t have to.
What Do You Want to Know?
The most frequently asked questions
Do I need separate cover for inland transit and ocean shipment?
No — we structure a single marine policy that covers your cargo from origin warehouse to final delivery, regardless of mode. This is known as warehouse-to-warehouse cover and is the most efficient structure for traders moving high volumes.
What is "general average" and am I exposed to it?
General average is a maritime principle where all cargo owners share the cost when a ship’s master sacrifices part of the cargo or vessel to save the rest (for example, jettisoning containers in a storm). Without marine cover, your business could be assessed for a share of the loss even if your cargo arrived safely. Our policies cover this exposure.
Can you cover project cargo and high-value consignments?
Yes. We place specialist cover for project cargo, oversize loads, and high-value consignments — drawing on global underwriter capacity to size cover correctly and price it competitively.
